SUMMARYThe Consumer Finance Coordinator II primarily processes loan applications as part of the National Alternative Finance Program (NAFP) which services the Renewal by Andersen retail network.  The work includes assessing the credit worthiness of applicants, entering applications into lenders' system, following up with customers by phone, text and/or email to communicate the status of their application, gathering up the appropriate documents to complete the loan, and ensuring loans are signed by customers in a timely manner.  The documents or information is then sent to the lender to finish processing. To enable success, the process is managed by the consumer finance workflow system and the coordinator is supported by a consumer finance lead.  
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Pull consumer's credit report, analyze, and determine next steps including which lender to send the application to. Update the workflow system on the status and enter next action notes.  Communicate to customer, sales rep and retailer when customer does not qualify.
  • For qualified customers, enter the application into the lender's system and check on the status of lender's decision.  Update the workflow system on the status and enter next action notes. Then communicate to the customer, sales rep and consumer finance specialist the status of the application and next steps.
  • Gather up the appropriate documents to complete the loan, and ensure loans are signed in a timely manner.  Send all documents and/or information to lender to finish processing.  Update the workflow system on the status of the application and any issues. Then communicate to the customer, sales rep, retailer and consumer finance specialist as appropriate.
  • Handle routine, standard, repetitive administrative and reporting duties as assigned.  Document current processes and recommend improvements.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer/data entry skills
  • Detail orientated
  • High personal integrity
  • Ability to follow processes and complete tasks in timely manner
  • 2 years of relatable experience (consumer finance experience or sales/in-side sales/call center experience preferred)
  • Aptitude to quickly learn and apply technical aspects of consumer finance

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
