YST is a rotational program for high school students within Production, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, etc.
Primary Responsibilities
| · Adhere to all safety rules and policies. · Visually inspect lineals for conformity to specifications. · Interpret smart scope, promex, and bow machine results for dimensional conformity. · Use all Quality appearance station forms and gauges to adhere to Quality Standards. · Follow daily standard work. · Stack profiles according to standard work. · Properly wrap loads. · Order raw materials. · Adhere to line schedule. · Complete production paperwork. · Support respectful workplace. · Participate in appropriate training and development programs · Other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management. |
Qualification and Skills | · Extrusion Machine operation experience not required. · Manufacturing, equipment maintenance, Lean operations experience helpful · Basic computer skills – keyboarding, Windows helpful. · Willingness to be trained and learn extrusion. · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods. · Comply with Respectful Workplace policies and guidelines · Dependability/punctuality. |
