TEAM LEADER 2

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and prioritize production requirements
- Assure staffing needs are met
- Identify needs and oversees employee training
- Coordinate production projects
- Assists supervisor in administering discipline
- Serve as a back-up to supervisor; leading department in supervisor’s absence
- Assure provision of required materials
- Integrate and communicate departmental activities with other production groups, as required
- Assure compliance with all safety related policies and procedures
- Assure conformance with the 5S program - Assure compliance with all related safety policies and procedures
- Perform Safety Audits - Follows Standard Work/Written Work instruction procedures
- Follow directions given by the Management Team
- Serve as a member of the department’s leadership team, providing assistance as required and perform other duties as assigned and participate in the Continuous Improvement Process
- Support and participate in all Lean Initiatives
- Coach and train all associates on Lean practices and processes
- Coach and train all new associates
- Update all visual boards in the department
- Identify and research system issues and participate in problem resolution
- Provide feedback on employee’s performance for supervisor analysis on reviews
- Assist supervisor while performance appraisals are administered
- Assist with hazardous waste management
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate/GED/HSED
- Team Leader 1 experience or equivalent
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes
- Computer skills: spreadsheets , data retrieval, word processing, scanners, and MAPICS as it pertains to responsibilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated professional demeanor during conflict resolution and problem resolution
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Understanding of all related company policies
- Shop math skills and ability to read prints as needed
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions
- Demonstrated problem resolution skills
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of quality standards
- Physical ability to perform job duties
- Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision
- Understanding of related safety policies and procedures
WORK PACE:
- Work Pace Type: Task Defined
- The work pace will be determined differently depending on material being built.
- Overtime: Occasionally workers will be required to work overtime
