PURPOSE: 

A primary objective of our equipment sourcing team is to develop and execute strategies that align with long range business requirements, immediate and critical focus on capacities and supply chain resilience.  

This position will influence our internal stakeholders and enterprise engineering partners on requirements, supplier engagement and selection, process improvements, new technologies, etc.  In addition, this Sourcing Manager will be critical in the process the ongoing efforts to identify, assess and develop suppliers.  With select relationships, there will be focus on ongoing development and improving processes, reduce overall costs, deliver greater value, etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Category level expertise with the ability to influence assigned area of focus.
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders to define source strategies which align with long term business objectives.
• Identify, assess and develop new and existing sources to ensure equipment
• equipment supply base can support the overall needs of the business in alignment with our LRSPs.
• Provide leadership and critical subject matter expertise at the point of supplier engagement and participation in the RFx process, supplier selection, etc.
• Understand new and emerging technologies; working with stakeholders to evaluate where and how Andersen may utilize across the enterprise and sharing industry learnings across the broader engineering team.
• Improve upon the process to onboard new suppliers (e.g., speed, clarity and definition around processes and expectations, etc.).
• Define optimal alignment across strategic sources, training internal teams on processes to engage and enhancing our development processes to better align.
• Remain well-informed of market trends and impacts across categories, taking action to capitalize on select opportunities and mitigate risks to the business.
• Leverage market analysis, analytics, and observation of the supply base to monitor and minimize risks to the organization.
• Partner across sourcing to continue to improve upon processes and tools focused on sourcing best practices.
• Support diverse supplier inclusion through strategic sourcing activities.
• Effectively communicate category results and critical milestones across various levels of the organization.
• Expert in problem solving.  Effective in the identification and resolution of issues, concerns, or problems using formal problem-solving techniques.
• Comply with policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven success as a Strategic Sourcing Manager with total cost management experience.
• Proactive leader who creates energy, lives integrity, leads change, creates a vision and plans, inspires people to achieve goals, develops people and delivers results.
• Ability to teach, coach and mentor all levels of individuals in Procurement and Supplier Management principles.
• Ability to address issues and support individuals to identify and remove barriers.
• Strong customer service attitude and experience.
• Must maintain a high degree of ethical behavior.
• Required bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or related field of study
• 7+ years professional experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Procurement or related functional area.

PROFIT SHARING:

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.  Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
