ANDERSEN CORPORATION SUMMARY:
Position Description:
This Position will focus on re-inventing how our employees move our products. You would be responsible for improving Material Handling and employee ergonomics through creative thinking, collaboration, and completing small to large scale projects involving automation and process improvements.
Andersen’s Menomonie distribution site moves thousands of windows and doors each day, and our drivers deliver those units to other logistic sites, lumber yards, and job sites/homes.
Location: This role will be on-site and is located at our Menomonie WI Consolidation Center (Just north of Hwy 94 off of Co. Rd. B)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Project Leader for small to large projects
- Lead process improvements/innovations
- Work with warehouse team and driver teams to identify difficult areas of work and best ways to improve processes and reduce lifting product while maintaining or improving cycle times
- Develop and complete intermediate level work plans for small to large projects and assignments including expense/capital estimates and cost/benefit analysis
- Apply basic and advanced engineering analytical skills (Lean, process capability, DMAIC, etc.…) to problem solve and drive project direction.
- Apply basic mechanical apptitude to brainstorm and guide vendors through mechanical lifting options
- Work with supply chain team and operations team on standard work, work instructions and best practices
- Up to 25% travel – traveling to out of state sites, and traveling with drivers to delivery locations

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- BS degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred)
- Strong project management skills and proven track record
- Mechanically inclined preferred
- Self-starter with ability to drive results
- Good understanding of lean principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of solving complex problems
- Experience in warehousing and logistics preferred
- Ergonomics background preferred
