Renewal by Andersen is seeking a Maintenance Manager II/III at our Cottage Grove, MN location.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to lead and manage the Maintenance team at the Renewal by Andersen location in Cottage Grove, MN. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing an annual strategy focused on operational excellence, increasing uptime, and providing world-class support. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced strategic-thinking leader that has a passion for developing and leading a high-performing team. 

This position ensures that the assigned maintenance team is operating in accordance with Andersen’s values, employee covenant, and strategic direction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set clear goals and objectives, assess progress, and instill a performance-oriented culture with a focus on accountability
  • Deploy a strategy that builds, retains, and engages all employees through inclusion and teamwork, and provides a safe and special place to work
  • Ensure our teams and working partners adhere to corporate processes
  • Acquire the appropriate people, technology, equipment, and financial resources necessary to meet internal and external customer expectations
  • Provide coaching, information, ideas, feedback, and encouragement to employees and managers to promote the growth and development of the maintenance team
  • Actively manage, implement, monitor and/or contribute toward programs intended to increase the uptime of assets. Such programs include, but are not limited to, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and total productive maintenance
  • Coordinate with operations leadership to define customer requirements and lead improvement efforts throughout the maintenance organization to ensure a safe, predictable manufacturing processes
  • Ensure consistency throughout the maintenance function
  • Develop and maintain the budget for the maintenance organization
  • Establish a work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, and teamwork
  • Develop/institute maintenance best practices with clearly defined metrics that have the result of driving operational performance
  • Identify and implement training programs to develop the skills of maintenance technicians to continue to meet the needs of the changing business
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory codes and statutes

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4 year degree in Engineering, Technology, or Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role (maintenance, engineering, quality, etc. )
  • Experience with world-class manufacturing practices (TPM, 5S, Lean, etc.)
  • Strong coaching and people development skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance, budgeting, accounting
  • Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups
  • Able to develop and maintain a respectful and safe work environment

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
