Summary Set-up and operate assigned complex equipment to produce materials to meet quality, productivity and safety goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Select and install proper tooling
* Insure accurate set-up
* Make adjustments to machine and tooling, as required
* Troubleshoot material and machine problems
* Select, inspect and machine material
* Assure quality standards understood and they are met
* Ability to constructively work with others
* Perform Safety audits
* Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions
* Participate in continuous improvement process and other lean initiatives
* Coach and train new associates
* Compile daily reports
* Assure conformance with the 5S program
* Assure compliance with all related safety policies and procedures
* Understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals
* Serve as a member of the manufacturing team, providing assistance as needed
* Assist with hazardous waste management (Koch Dip equipment)

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Graduate/GED or prior Eagle Window and Door employment
* Basic reading, writing, and shop math skills
* Demonstrated ability to use calipers, tape measures and read prints
* Demonstrated product and machinery knowledge and proficiency acquired through a minimum of six months experience
* Understanding of related safety policies and procedures
* Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* Must be able to perform all key duties of Machine Operator 1

Physical ability to perform key job duties:

* Ability to lift and maneuver product. (Some position may require lifting up to 50 lbs.)
* Ability to lift and maneuver bulky product
* Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift product throughout the assembly process

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
