SUMMARY 

Under the direction of the Senior Leader of Learning & Development, the Learning and Development Leader is responsible for applying instructional design models and approaches to design, develop, maintain, and evaluate leadership development content and programs, and facilitate learning and development programs for the organization. Facilitate learning (in-person, online) of specific content (e.g., process, procedure, technology). Materials prepared primarily by others. Responsible for knowing and delivering content and interacting successfully with learners. 
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand roadmaps and plan for content updates or new training offerings to enhance overall program learning impact.

  • Leverage the instructional design process to understand the business needs, develop learning objectives, deliver needs assessment, design program and content development, work with Subject Matter Experts to implement leadership programs and evaluate final training deliverables.

  • Develop presentations and learning journeys (pre and post work) by applying creativity and graphic design skills in support of preparation and execution of leadership development content and programs. Partnering with Instructional Design Manager to create learning journeys.

  • Partner across cross functional teams to create a framework for career pathing and implement meaningful solutions through robust talent programs to activate the internal talent marketplace, fostering internal mobility, supporting key talent needs and succession plans for key positions in the organization

  • Conduct research to identify best practices and industry trends related to talent and leadership development including leadership trends, program content, learning theory, high-potential development, program design and delivery, techniques, and leadership development vendors.

  • Responsible for the delivery and facilitation of leadership programs to include workshops, coaching, presentations, group discussions and leadership forums delivered in-person and virtually.

  • Partner and collaborate with Andersen TOD and Manufacturing Operations Learning and Development Manager to help build programs and processes that retain, develop and support employees across the enterprise.

  • Develop metrics and means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to management and leadership.

  • Lead design, configuration, troubleshoot issues, reporting and maintenance of LMS training system
  • Passion for learning and development of teams and people
  • Collaborative, creative and curious
  • Advanced proficiency and experience in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher), Adobe Pro, and web-based collaborative platform (e.g., One Drive, LMS)
  • Learning and development certifications
  • Ability to travel up to 20-25%
  • Versatile; possess the ability to quickly adapt based on changing business needs

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of relevant learning & development experience and/or supporting certifications.
  • Basic understanding of Instructional Design models, and experience completing instructional design pieces from concept through design, development, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to present in front of groups. Also experience with facilitating processes and decision-making meetings.
  • Strong verbal communication skills that can be applied to face-to-face, telephone and video conferencing situations. Ability to research a topic and clearly explain a concept, process, and next steps.

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
