ANDERSEN CORPORATION SUMMARY:
Andersen corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering team that supports our 100 Series Manufacturing Facility. This role will focus on supporting value-stream initiatives improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Candidates for this position should have a passion to improve both our production and functional processes in a hands-on collaborative role.
• Work closely with engineers, production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to problem solve and implement solutions
• Drive continuous improvement, improved customer satisfaction, reduced waste, increased efficiency, and elimination of variation in processes.
• Lead and manage improvement projects following A3 methodology
• Develop/fabricate prototype fixtures, carts, and specialized tools
• Create and modify process documentation such as standard work, lock out tag out procedures, machine safeguarding inventories, etc.
• Execution of test plans and associated data collection
• Able to solve problems with practical solutions
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience
• Strong ability to find and utilize data for driving improvements
• Proven cross functional collaboration
• Strong aptitude in analysis and problem solving
• Ability to communicate both written and verbally within the organization and externally to suppliers and customers
• General use of computers and basic software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Dependability/punctuality
• High mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of window products
• Demonstrated understanding of quality programs and initiatives, SPC and process capability, along with lean manufacturing principles.
