PURPOSE:  

The Territory Sales Representative is primarily responsible for developing Andersen residential and commercial sales objectives driven through corporate business plan and key corporate delivery stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing multiple dealer accounts and driving the overall sales process.  This position collaborates with Sales Management and other sales delivery partners nationally or regionally to drive account creation, retention and growth.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, deploy and manage business plans with account to increase sales performance and meet/exceed sales targets.  Develop key performance indicators with accounts to measure and monitor performance.  Review business plans with account stakeholders quarterly to ensure progress to KPI's and ongoing alignment between Andersen and account goals and strategies.
  • Manage (through internal and external collaboration and communication with sales delivery partners) market or trade conflicts to ensure alignment of region goals and strategies.
  • Conduct effective, results-focused joint planning meetings that result in actionable plans and ongoing conversation allowing for the accomplishment of sales objectives. 
  • Develop and train account delivery partners to improve account performance, knowledge and efficiency to maximize results. 
  • Participate in sales meetings to ensure alignment with district, division and company goals.
  • Liaison to Sales Management, Marketing and other internal/external delivery partners to provide input and feedback regarding product, programs and policies. 
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with accounts to measure and monitor performance. 
  • Review Business Plans with account stakeholders quarterly to ensure progress to KPI's and ongoing alignment between Andersen and account goals and strategies.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in business or a related field of study or equivalent experience in sales of consumer products.
  • Three years of business to business selling experience preferred.  Strong business knowledge, including basic sales and marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of basic residential and commercial construction practices as well as specific AW window and door product knowledge to include specific product specifications and applications preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong account business relationships as well as the development and maintenance of strong and constructive personal relationships with account delivery partners.
  • Evidence of strong analytical and fact-based planning skills.
  • Robust communication skills (oral and written) required to ensure coordination, translate customer requirements to internal delivery partners and persuade account stakeholders to pursue mutually beneficial business strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and train others on selling strategies and product knowledge skills.
  • Able to use, update and customize databases, electronic presentations and spreadsheets proficiently to communicate with internal and external delivery partners and stakeholders.

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
