SUMMARY: 

This Accounting role will support the Renewal by Andersen business, a complex, innovative, and expanding retail business within Andersen. Primary responsibilities are to ensure the accuracy of compensation and Renewal by Andersen’s financial results. This will be accomplished through comprehensive knowledge of the Renewal business, strong accounting skills as well as collaborating and partnering with multiple business partners. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to understand the why’s behind what you’re doing. In addition, this job will have the responsibility to support the accuracy of the information passed from our retail system to our accounting system, by performing the following duties:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Calculating, planning and analyzing incentives and commissions.
  • Incentives closing entries and reconciliation.
  • Integration with the back-office functions at Corporate Owned Retail Operations (“CORO”) branches, including
    • Understanding and reconciling transaction flow between Salesforce and systematic journal entries in Andersen’s ERP platform (Baan)
    • Investigating and resolution of reconciling items, and
    • Providing training or creating training aids, when necessary, as processes evolve towards best practice.
  • Running multiple reports and dashboards from salesforce obtaining knowledge of all fields used to ensure this system is sending reliable information to our accounting system.
  • Key business partners: Operations Managers, Internal Operations Managers and Accounting & Finance Coordinators at CORO branches.
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years related experience
  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Highly motivated to strive for continuous improvement and learning opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills, detail orientated and collaborative
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Salesforce, Baan, OneStream, Business Objects, PowerBI experience
  • Retail operations experience
  • CPA/CMA

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
