SUMMARY:

This role will perform Quality Control Activities in the Bayport, MN Patio Doors Plant. The applicant will verify that quality standards are effectively being used to detect and address non-conforming product to protect the Andersen Brand.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform Finished Product Audit of production lines and assist in Corrective & Preventive Actions.
Work closely with Production Associates and Quality Engineers to align on production quality needs
Assist in Statistical Process Control methods to enable in-control production
Coordinate test method maintenance (equipment calibration, communicate revisions, perform capability studies as needed)
This role will involve lifting and destruction of units for investigative purposes
80%+ of time spent in production areas

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint, and Quality Management Systems
2 or more years of Quality/Manufacturing experience, preferably in window and door industry
Knowledge of Window & Door Quality specifications preferred, including visual/aesthetic standards
Strong communication skills, including ability to summarize data and findings, present results
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
Basic knowledge of quality/lean manufacturing, quality systems, process capability analysis

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:

• Must be able to stand for 8 hrs

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
