ANDERSEN CORPORATION SUMMARY:
This role will perform Quality Control Activities in the Bayport, MN Patio Doors Plant. The applicant will verify that quality standards are effectively being used to detect and address non-conforming product to protect the Andersen Brand.
- Perform Finished Product Audit of production lines and assist in Corrective & Preventive Actions.
- Work closely with Production Associates and Quality Engineers to align on production quality needs
- Assist in Statistical Process Control methods to enable in-control production
- Coordinate test method maintenance (equipment calibration, communicate revisions, perform capability studies as needed)
- This role will involve lifting and destruction of units for investigative purposes
- 80%+ of time spent in production areas
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint, and Quality Management Systems
- 2 or more years of Quality/Manufacturing experience, preferably in window and door industry
- Knowledge of Window & Door Quality specifications preferred, including visual/aesthetic standards
- Strong communication skills, including ability to summarize data and findings, present results
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Basic knowledge of quality/lean manufacturing, quality systems, process capability analysis
